Built to operate responsibly
Onbold sits in the middle of the retail transaction, so trust is not a marketing layer added afterwards. It has to be built into how the platform operates.
That means understanding the Sellers we support, maintaining clear operating controls, protecting Buyer interests and keeping the information behind each relationship current over time.
We know who we work with
Every Seller is reviewed before launch.
Onbold verifies the business, ownership, Product, operating model and other relevant evidence before making a human approval decision.
The same evidence-led approach continues after launch, helping us stay aligned as the business changes.
We control what enters the platform
Not every business, Product or operating model is right for Onbold.
Eligibility rules, underwriting and ongoing monitoring help ensure that the businesses using the platform remain within the scope we are prepared to support.
That protects Buyers, Sellers, Onbold and the financial partners behind the service.
We take ownership of the retail responsibilities we accept
As Merchant of Record, Onbold takes responsibility for the Buyer-facing retail transaction.
That includes the areas that sit within our operating role, such as payments, transaction tax, Order records, refunds, Buyer transaction support, fraud and disputes.
Responsibility is meaningful only when the controls behind it are real.
Tax and cross-border obligations are managed as operating processes
Onbold does not treat transaction tax as an afterthought at checkout.
Calculation, collection, registration, filing and remittance are coordinated as part of the retail operating model, with additional controls around cross-border physical goods where required.
Physical fulfilment stays visible
For physical-goods Orders, fulfilment and delivery information remain connected to the Buyer record.
Onbold works with trackable fulfilment models so delivery status, Buyer support, refunds, disputes and Supplier payment can stay part of the same operating picture.
Monitoring is about staying aligned
Businesses evolve.
Onbold uses automated monitoring, updated evidence and human review where needed to keep the relationship aligned with the business we actually understand.
The aim is not to create unnecessary friction. It is to identify meaningful changes early and deal with them with context.
Human judgement remains part of the model
AI and automation help Onbold gather information, verify evidence and stay current.
They do not replace human commercial judgement.
Material approval, escalation and operating decisions remain subject to human review.
Security and data protection matter
Onbold is designed around controlled access, secure handling of sensitive information and clear separation of responsibilities across the systems and providers that support the platform.
